San Diego has a plethora of opportunities for work which is helping citizens weather the latest economic slowdown. - Tourism--with its beautiful weather and close proximity to sand and sea as well as mountains and desert, San Diego ranks as one of the top employers in the tourism industry.
- Gaming--with many Indian Casinos throughout San Diego County, there are opportunities for employment.
- Technology--San Diego has a large and growing technological base for those interested in a technological career.
- Import/Export--with its seaport and close proximity to Mexico, San Diego does big business in the export and import industry.
